About Heico
Heico operates a group of subsidiaries that build and supply parts and services for aircraft, defense equipment and electronic systems. It has built a reputation around supplying stand-in components for jet engines and airframes, among them insulating blankets, reusable heat-shielding systems and other custom-made hardware.
The business runs through two divisions. One arm distributes hydraulic, pneumatic, structural, interconnect and electro-mechanical hardware to buyers in commercial, regional and general aviation, and also handles repair and overhaul work on engine parts, avionics, instruments, composite materials and flight surfaces, plus navigation and instrument work for military aircraft. The other arm produces electronic gear such as infrared and laser testing tools, power and interconnection hardware, shielding against electromagnetic and radio interference, locator beacons, amplifiers, receivers, antenna equipment and radiation detectors. Buyers of these products come mainly from aviation, defense, space, medical, telecommunications and electronics fields.
Heico traces back to 1957 and runs its operations from Hollywood, Florida. Its stock trades on the NYSE under the ticker HEI.
