About AAR

AAR provides support services and equipment to commercial aviation operators, along with government and defense customers around the world. It is widely recognized for its aftermarket aviation work, covering parts distribution, inventory management, and a broad range of maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities. Beyond upkeep of aircraft, the company handles engineering support, structural repairs, avionics installation, and refurbishment of airframes, as well as servicing landing gears, wheels, and brakes.

The company is structured around two main areas of work. One centers on aviation aftermarket support, including leasing and sale of aircraft components, warranty processing, and supply chain logistics built for defense agencies. The other, its expeditionary services division, focuses on moving equipment and personnel for governments and non-governmental organizations, while also designing and manufacturing transport pallets, containers, shelters, and command and control systems. Its customer base spans passenger and cargo airlines, regional carriers, business aviation operators, manufacturers, leasing companies, other aftermarket firms, and military organizations, reached largely through its own staff and international sales representatives.

AAR was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Wood Dale, Illinois. Its shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker AIR.
