Unusual options activity scanner: the big bets, ranked daily
A daily feed of unusually large options positions across the 2,000 most active tickers. Each one shows the exact contract, the premium behind it, how far volume ran ahead of open interest, and whether it reads bullish, bearish or contrarian — sized against the company, so mid-caps are not drowned out by the mega-caps.

Date, ticker, signal, conviction, the headline contract, the premium and the volume-to-open-interest ratio, with the GekkoIndex and Fair Value gap alongside.
What the unusual options scanner shows
Four kinds of signal
Bullish flow, bearish flow, and two contrarian reads — unusual put buying into strength, unusual call buying into weakness — so hedging and fading show up as what they are rather than being lumped in with directional bets.
Sized against the company
A position is judged against the size of the company itself rather than a flat dollar figure. What is unusual for a $10 billion company is routine for a trillion-dollar one, and the scanner knows the difference.
A conviction score
Each signal carries a 0 to 100 conviction reading that weighs the premium, how close to the money and how short-dated the activity is, how one-sided it is, and whether it agrees with the stock's GekkoIndex zone. The scale is Gekko's own.

How it appears on the free stock pages
Every stock page states how many unusual options signals Gekko flagged in the last 30 days and the split of flagged premium between calls and puts, answers "Is there unusual options activity?" in its FAQ, and counts the signals in the checklist. The signal-by-signal table and the chart layer are inside Gekko.
Questions about unusual options activity
How often does the feed update?
Once a trading day, after the options data for the session is published, so the morning's feed reflects the previous session across the whole universe.
What counts as unusual?
Contracts where the day's volume runs well ahead of existing open interest and the premium is large for the company's size, filtered for liquidity so lottery-ticket and zero-days-to-expiry churn is left out. The exact thresholds are Gekko's own.
Is a bullish flow signal a buy signal?
It is a description of what options traders positioned for, with a conviction reading. Gekko describes the data; it does not make buy or sell recommendations.
