The group is known for a wide portfolio of self-owned hotel brands spanning different price tiers, including HanTing Hotel, Ni Hao Hotel, Hi Inn, Elan Hotel, JI Hotel, Orange Hotel, Ibis Hotel, Mercure Hotel, Novotel Hotel and Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, among others, serving travelers with varying accommodation needs.
The company runs its properties under multiple business models rather than relying on a single ownership structure, which allows it to combine directly run hotels with franchised and manachised locations. As of June 30, 2022, it oversaw 8,176 hotels comprising 773,898 rooms in total. The company was formerly called Huazhu Group Limited before adopting the H World Group name in June 2022.
H World was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Shanghai, in the People's Republic of China. Its shares trade under the ticker HTHT.
