About Travel Leisure

Travel Leisure operates as a hospitality business built around vacations, serving individual consumers who want to own, exchange, or book travel experiences. It is best known for its work in vacation ownership, where it develops, markets, and sells fractional ownership interests in resort properties, alongside managing those properties once they are built and occupied.

The company runs through two main divisions. Its Vacation Ownership arm handles the sale of ownership interests, arranges financing for buyers, and oversees management of around 245 resorts. Its Travel & Membership arm covers a wider set of activities, including three separate vacation exchange brands, a home exchange network, travel technology platforms, membership programs, and rental services sold directly to consumers. The company also supplies private-label booking technology to other businesses.

Travel Leisure traces its origins to 1990 and is headquartered in Orlando, Florida. It operated for years as Wyndham Destinations before taking on its present name in February 2021. Its shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker TNL.

What they said
Travel + Leisure reported strong Q2 and first half 2026 results, driven by healthy owner trends, robust travel demand, and successful execution of their resort optimization initiative. Key metrics: revenue $1.06B in Q2, EBITDA $269M, gross VOI sales +6-7% (Q2 +6%, H1 +7%), EBITDA margin expansion (120 bps H1, 70 bps quarter), EPS growth (21% H1, 14% quarter), VPG per guest $3,318 (+2% YoY), booking window 109 days, average stay 4 days. Management highlighted successful acquisitions of Yes& and Spinnaker adding ~100,000 owners and 23 resorts, expected to deliver $50M incremental EBITDA in year one and push post-synergy multiple to ~5x; they raised the midpoint of full-year EBITDA guidance by >$30M. Loan portfolio credit metrics improved in Q2 with early-stage delinquencies improving ~80 bps sequentially; weighted average FICO ~740 and down payments in mid-20s; full-year loan loss provision expected to be lower in 2026 vs 2025 but slightly pressured by acquisitions. Capital allocation: $253M returned to shareholders in H1, 4% share count reduction. Strategic focus on resort optimization, points-based conversions, revenue synergies over time, cost synergies (G&A, tech), and securitization of consumer finance receivables. Q&A tone was confident and detailed from management, addressing credit trends, synergies, and M&A rationale.
Guidance
Raised midpoint of full-year EBITDA guidance by more than $30 million; company expects $50 million incremental EBITDA in year one from the Yes& and Spinnaker acquisitions (with ~4.5-5 months contribution in 2026), and expects 2026 loan loss provision to be lower than 2025. No specific FY revenue or EPS numbers disclosed on call beyond organic growth expectations and segment comments.
Risks flagged
Risks mentioned include pressure on loan loss provision from acquired portfolios, possible modest incremental interest expense from securitization of acquired consumer finance receivables, seasonal fluctuations in tours and resort optimization impacts, and integration/time needed to realize revenue synergies. Macro risks and other typical risks referenced generically via SEC filings commentary at start.
