What they said
KBH reported Q3 fiscal 2026 total revenues of $1.3 billion and diluted EPS of $1.05, meeting or exceeding guidance despite a challenging housing market. The company invested ~$725 million in land acquisition and development while repurchasing ~890,000 shares at below book value, returning over $65 million to shareholders in the quarter. Book value per share expanded to over $62. Built-to-Order homes represented nearly 75% of Q3 deliveries, driving sequential gross margin improvement, though net orders declined year-over-year as buyer traffic softened.
Guidance
Management expects full-year deliveries, housing revenues, and margins to remain within previously provided June guidance ranges, despite moderating Q4 outlook. Rising mortgage rates, persistent inflation, and increased resale inventory continue to pressure near-term demand.
