Phillips 66 pulled back this week after strong Q3 2026 results that beat EPS and revenue estimates, with 98% refining utilization, record distillate yield of 41%, and midstream volumes exceeding 1 million barrels per day. Citigroup raised its price target to $302.00 while keeping a neutral rating, following the earnings beat. The stock also fell sharply in a single session, dropping to a close of $251.95 and erasing billions in market value, amid broader energy sector selling pressure. Separately, a new renewable fuel supply deal with Restaurant Technologies was announced for the Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex, and union workers at the Bayway refinery ratified a tentative labor agreement.

Phillips 66 works across the energy supply chain, covering manufacturing and logistics rather than a single stage of production. It is best known for turning crude oil and other feedstocks into everyday fuels such as gasoline, distillates, aviation fuel and renewable fuels, produced at a group of refineries spread across the United States and Europe.
The company organizes its work into four segments. Midstream handles the movement, storage and processing of crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids, along with related fractionation, export and marketing activity, plus gathering and transporting natural gas. Chemicals makes olefins, aromatics, styrenics and specialty chemicals, including solvents, catalysts and compounds used in drilling and mining. Refining converts raw feedstocks into fuel products, while Marketing & Specialties buys, resells and markets refined fuels and also produces base oils and lubricants, with customers mainly in the United States and Europe.
Phillips 66 traces its founding to 1875 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. Its shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker PSX.
