Lennox International moves this week on a mix of analyst actions and continued scrutiny of residential demand. Wells Fargo initiated coverage at Equal Weight with a $424 price target, citing concerns over residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning market fundamentals, while Deutsche Bank downgraded the stock to Hold despite what it called an attractive valuation. Commentary also points to weak residential demand and reduced profit guidance as the stock trades near 52-week lows, alongside a separate note suggesting the shares could be undervalued on a discounted cash flow basis. Lennox also declared a quarterly dividend of $1.36 per share, payable 15 October.
The stock closed at $368.41, down 1.4%, and sits below both its 50-day average of $416.12 and 200-day average of $489.48, with the 50-day below the 200-day. Shares trade near the 52-week low of $350.22 and well off the 52-week high of $587.27, down 35.2% over three months and 28.6% over the past year. The GekkoIndex reads 65.8, placing Lennox in the Accumulation zone, while the price sits 10.8% below Gekko Fair Value of $413.12.
