About Icahn Enterprises

Icahn Enterprises is a holding company that runs a collection of businesses under one roof, reaching customers both within the United States and abroad. Its reach extends across investment management, energy production, automotive services, food packaging materials, real estate, home furnishings, and pharmaceuticals, giving it a footprint in several distinct corners of the economy rather than a single trade.

Each division functions as its own line of business. The investment arm puts company capital to work through a set of private investment funds. Energy operations cover refining and selling transportation fuel as well as making nitrogen-based fertilizer products like urea ammonium nitrate and ammonia. The automotive unit distributes vehicle parts at wholesale and retail levels and provides repair and maintenance work. Food packaging involves producing casings used in processed meats, made from cellulosic, fibrous, and plastic materials. Real estate holdings include leased commercial space, home construction and sales, and leisure properties such as golf courses, hotels, and timeshares. The home fashion segment handles home goods from production through to sale, while the pharmaceutical business supplies medicines and related services.

Icahn Enterprises was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Its shares trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker IEP.
