About Entegris

Entegris makes materials and equipment that keep semiconductor manufacturing clean and precise, covering ultra-pure chemicals, specialty gases, filtration systems, and the handling of wafers and liquid chemicals. It is best known for supplying the purification and material-transport tools that chip makers rely on to keep contamination out of their production lines, with operations reaching across North America, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

The company runs through three business lines: one focused on specialty process chemistries and engineered materials for chip fabrication, one dedicated to filtering and purifying the liquids and gases used in semiconductor and other high-tech processes, and one that handles the safe transport and delivery of wafers and chemicals. Its customers include logic and memory chip manufacturers, semiconductor equipment builders, gas and chemical suppliers, and wafer growers, along with businesses in flat panel displays, hard disk components, solar, electrical discharge machining, glass manufacturing, aerospace, and biomedical implants.

Entegris was founded in 1966 and is headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts. Its shares are listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker ENTG.

What they said
Entegris reported a strong Q2 2026 with revenue of $883 million, up 11% year-over-year and results that exceeded guidance on all metrics. Management highlighted double-digit growth in unit-driven and CapEx-driven businesses, record performance in liquid filtration (fourth consecutive record quarter), sequential gross margin improvement (GAAP and non-GAAP 47.6%), strong adjusted EBITDA margin (28.4%), and robust free cash flow and deleveraging progress. The company is seeing AI-driven demand across advanced logic, HBM memory and advanced packaging; backlog and bookings for CapEx-oriented businesses strengthened. Management is investing ahead to unlock manufacturing capacity (including a >20% increase in direct labor since end of 2025) and is progressing with network optimization and other operational initiatives. KSP (Taiwan) filtration site is ramping and approaching breakeven. Entegris expects continued acceleration into the back half of 2026, with both Material Solutions (MS) and Advanced Purity Solutions (APS) growing mid-teens year-over-year in Q3 and Q4 sequentially up ~4% into Q4. The company is prioritizing deleveraging to below 3x net leverage by year-end (achieving continued debt repayments), while evaluating capital deployment, internal investments, and potential M&A. Management remains confident but measured, noting some one-time items (useful life adjustment) and market uncertainties such as memory market pressure in mainstream segments.
Guidance
Q3 2026: guiding at midpoint to mid-teens year-over-year growth (both MS and APS). Q4 2026: guiding sequentially up about 4% (implying mid-teens YoY growth). Management expects MS to deliver double-digit YoY growth in second half of 2026. Incremental gross-profit flow-through guidance: ~60% incrementals (management suggested modeling incremental flow-through in the ~60% range). Target leverage: under 3x net leverage by end of 2026 (with continued deleveraging into a net leverage ratio starting with a 2). Management expects stronger fab construction impact in 2027 with WFE and unit growth waves following.
Risks flagged
Memory market pressure and consumer-related weakness in mainstream markets could suppress some demand. Timing risk for fab construction and WFE-related revenue (waves of revenue lag construction/tool install/unit processing). One-time/adjustment items (useful life accounting adjustment added ~150 bps to year-over-year margin uplift). Supply and capacity constraints require investments to unlock network capacity; execution risk around KSP ramp and other facility rationalizations. Competitive pressures in CMP and molybdenum-related markets could affect share. Continued dependence on a concentrated set of large customers and the semiconductor cycle creates cyclicality risk.
