Skeena Resources focuses on finding and building out mineral sites located across Canada, looking for ground that contains gold along with silver, copper and other metals of value. It has become known for two wholly owned gold properties in British Columbia, called Snip and Eskay Creek, which anchor its exploration efforts.
Snip takes up about 1,932 hectares and is held through a single mining lease plus four mineral tenures. Eskay Creek is bigger, at 6,151 hectares, and includes eight mineral leases, two surface leases and several unpatented mining claims. Together these properties represent the main focus of the company's resource work.
Skeena dates back to 1979, when it was called Prolific Resources Ltd., and it took on the name Skeena Resources Limited in June of 1990. The company runs its operations from Vancouver, Canada, and its stock trades on the NYSE under the ticker SKE.
