Coeur Mining shares fall this week amid a broad downturn in the precious metals sector, with gold and silver pressured by rising US Treasury yields and a stronger dollar, dragging peer producers lower alongside CDE. Separately, commentary points to reduced 2026 guidance following the company's Q2 report, which had shown record revenue exceeding $1 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $478 million and free cash flow of $388 million, but guidance cuts for gold and copper production and higher costs at Rainy River have tempered the outlook. A record $158 million exploration budget for 2026, focused on the New Afton and Rainy River mines, is also noted as a factor in the longer-term resource case.
CDE closes at $17.87, down 7% on the day, sitting below both its 50-day average of $18.71 and 200-day average of $19.26, with the 50-day below the 200-day. Over the past month the stock is down 19.5%, though it remains up 9.4% over three months. The GekkoIndex reads 65.2, placing CDE in the Accumulation zone, and the price sits 14.1% below the Gekko Fair Value of $20.81.
The next earnings date falls on 4 November 2026, 36 days out and beyond a typical 20-trading-day hold. No insider, Congress or unusual options activity appears in the recent windows. Coeur Mining searches for and develops deposits of precious metals across North America, running operations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Its work centers on locating and pulling gold, silver, zinc, and lead from the ground, and it is recognized for a portfolio of mine sites spread across several states and countries.
The company wholly owns a handful of notable properties: the Palmarejo gold and silver mine in Chihuahua, Mexico; the Rochester silver and gold mine in northwestern Nevada; the Kensington gold mine near Juneau, Alaska; the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota's northern Black Hills; and the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead mine in northern British Columbia. It also holds stakes in additional ventures, including the Crown and Sterling projects in southern Nevada and the La Preciosa project in Mexico. Once extracted, the resulting concentrates are sold to outside buyers and smelting firms under negotiated supply arrangements.
Formerly named Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation before adopting its current name in May 2013, the company traces its founding back to 1928 and now runs its headquarters out of Chicago, Illinois. Its shares trade on the NYSE under the ticker CDE.
