About Hawkins
Hawkins makes, blends, and distributes chemicals and specialized ingredients for customers at home and abroad. It is probably best recognized for its broad chemical supply work, which reaches industries such as agriculture, electronics, energy, food, pharmaceuticals, and plating with products ranging from acids and alkaline compounds to food-grade and pharmaceutical-quality salts.
The business runs through three divisions. The Industrial group handles bulk chemicals like caustic soda, sulfuric and hydrochloric acid, urea, and potassium hydroxide, alongside manufacturing of sodium hypochlorite and custom blends, plus repackaging and private-label bleach services. The Water Treatment division supplies chemicals, equipment, and solutions for drinking water, wastewater, process water, and water used in pools and agriculture. The Health and Nutrition division sources, processes, and formulates ingredients such as minerals, botanicals, vitamins, amino acids, excipients, and sweeteners for makers of nutraceuticals, functional foods, supplements, and personal care goods.
Founded in 1938, Hawkins is headquartered in Roseville, Minnesota. Its shares trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker HWKN.
