About Regeneron Pharmaceuticals

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals develops medicines that treat serious health conditions, spanning eye disease, immune and allergic disorders, cancer, infectious disease and rare conditions. Its treatments reach patients through injectable and infused therapies for conditions such as macular degeneration, atopic dermatitis, asthma, skin cancer, high cholesterol, rheumatoid arthritis, Ebola infection and periodic fever syndromes, among others. The company is perhaps best recognized for its work in eye care and immune-related treatments, alongside its broader pipeline of experimental drugs still in development.

Much of its business runs through partnerships rather than solely independent efforts, with collaboration and licensing arrangements involving other pharmaceutical companies and research organizations, as well as government health bodies. These relationships support both the commercialization of approved treatments and ongoing research into new drug candidates across multiple disease areas.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Tarrytown, New York. Its shares are listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker REGN.

Last earnings call, Jul 30, 2026 AI summary

What they said
Regeneron reported a strong Q2 2026 with total revenues up 17% year-over-year and non-GAAP EPS up 11%. Key commercial drivers were Dupixent (Sanofi-reported $6B, +38% YoY), EYLEA HD (U.S. growth and strong physician uptake), and Libtayo. Management highlighted multiple pipeline catalysts: cemdisiran regulatory submissions (FDA target action date in November 2026 for gMG), expected registrational PNH data for the pozelimab + cemdisiran combination in Q4 2026, exploratory GA C5 data due Q4 2026, and ongoing work on obesity (GLP + Praluent combination) and other I&I programs. Financial commentary emphasized repayment of the Sanofi development balance, which reduced reported collaboration revenue in 2025 and H1 2026 but will cause a step-up in Sanofi collaboration revenue starting in Q3 2026 as Regeneron records full share of collaboration profits. Management reiterated disciplined capital allocation (internal R&D focus, opportunistic M&A) and active commercialization planning for potential launches (e.g., cemdisiran). The call mixed strong commercial execution and pipeline optimism with cautious notes on regulatory timelines, a recent oncology trial near-miss (fianlimab), and ongoing manufacturing/regulatory interactions (EYLEA HD).
Guidance
• Cemdisiran (gMG): FDA target action date in November 2026; EMA decision anticipated H2 2027. • PNH (pozelimab + cemdisiran): Registrational data expected Q4 2026. • GA (C5 approach): 26-week exploratory cohort data expected Q4 2026 to inform pivotal strategy. • EYLEA HD prefilled syringe: ongoing FDA review with goal/hope for approval by year-end 2026 (timing not guaranteed). • Sanofi collaboration revenue: expected step-up starting Q3 2026 as Sanofi development balance has been fully repaid and Regeneron will record full share of collaboration profits. • Obesity/GLP + Praluent: Phase III program initiation expected over the next few months (H2 2026). • No new numeric revenue or EPS guidance was issued on the call beyond the directional expectation for Sanofi collaboration revenue; management reiterated focus on R&D investment and potential share repurchases/M&A but provided no specific numerical forward financial targets.
Risks flagged
• Regulatory timing and uncertainty (FDA reviews for cemdisiran and EYLEA HD; approvals are not guaranteed). • Clinical trial risk (fianlimab missed primary endpoint; need to demonstrate long-term benefits and safety for new modalities). • Manufacturing/CMC and supply risks (EYLEA HD prefilled syringe CMO approvals and need for multiple contract manufacturers). • Competitive pressure (GLP uptake in obesity, FcRn therapies and other entrants in gMG/PNH). • Safety/long-term risk for mechanism-related immunosuppression (concerns around complete complement blockade and FcRn approaches). • Commercial execution risk (launch execution for cemdisiran and other pipeline products).
