Oshkosh makes specialized vehicles and machinery used across construction, defense, emergency response, and other demanding settings worldwide. It is known for aerial work platforms and telehandlers used on job sites, as well as tactical military vehicles and firefighting apparatus that serve public safety and defense customers.
The business is organized into three segments. The Access segment covers aerial lifts, telehandlers, towing and recovery equipment, and related financing, leasing, and parts services. The Transport segment produces tactical wheeled vehicles and hauling equipment for defense applications. The Vocational segment builds fire apparatus, rescue vehicles, airport ground support and rescue equipment, refuse collection vehicles, field service trucks, cranes, communication vehicles, and concrete mixer trucks. Products reach customers through direct sales staff, dealers, and distributors.
The company was founded in 1915 and is based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It was previously known as Oshkosh Truck Corporation. Shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker OSK.
