LCI Industries builds and supplies the parts that go into recreational vehicles, selling through subsidiaries to companies that build trailers, campers, and similar units. Its catalog spans steel chassis and suspension hardware, slide-out and leveling mechanisms, doors, windows, awnings, furniture, mattresses, appliances, climate systems, and entertainment gear. Many of these same parts also end up in buses, trucks, cargo trailers, boats, trains, and manufactured or modular homes.
The business splits into two sides. One side designs and manufactures components sold directly to original equipment manufacturers in the RV space and in adjacent transport and housing industries. The other side moves products through dealerships, wholesale distributors, and service centers, covering things like glass and awning replacements tied to insurance claims as well as marine gear such as biminis, covers, buoys, and fenders for boating customers.
LCI Industries traces back to 1984, when it started as Drew Industries Incorporated, before taking its current name in December 2016. The company is based in Elkhart, Indiana, and trades on the NYSE under the ticker LCII.
