What they said
Brady Corporation reported a very strong fiscal Q3 2026: record adjusted EPS of $1.50 (up 23% YoY), organic sales growth of 8.2%, total sales growth 13.8% (acquisitions +2.1%, FX +3.5%), gross profit margin 51.8%, operating cash flow up 35% YTD, and nearly $80M cash generation in the quarter. Management highlighted product strength (notably the new I4.31 4-inch portable printer selling above expectations), strong performance in Wire ID and data centers, and improvement in SG&A efficiency. They announced agreement to acquire Honeywell's Productivity Solutions and Services (PSS) business, expected to add approximately $0.80 to adjusted EPS in year one (no synergies assumed), with estimated close around August 1 pending regulatory approvals. Management emphasized priorities of profitable sales growth, cash generation, and continued investment in R&D while maintaining dividends and opportunistic buybacks.
Guidance
Acquisition-related guidance: PSS expected to add ~$0.80 to adjusted EPS in the first full year (no synergies assumed). Estimated close around August 1, subject to regulatory approvals. No explicit FY organic sales or EPS guidance revisions detailed on the call beyond prior raise noted by analyst reference; management said they had raised guidance but did not restate company-level fiscal-year numeric guidance on the call.
Risks flagged
Risks mentioned: forward-looking statements subject to risk factors noted in the news release and fiscal 2025 10-K; regulatory approvals and external factors could delay acquisition close; potential board turnover/optics due to two board resignations; tariffs and mix affecting gross margin; integration and one-time costs related to acquisition; potential need for additional R&D and salesforce investment in PSS.
