Related coverage notes the buildout's implications for industrial real estate demand. About Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola produces and distributes a broad array of nonalcoholic drinks for buyers in the United States and in markets overseas. Its offerings include sparkling soft drinks, bottled water, sports and coffee and tea drinks, juices, dairy and plant-based beverages, and newer drink categories, with its namesake cola remaining the brand most associated with the company. It also supplies the concentrated bases and syrups used to make its drinks, including versions sold to restaurants and convenience stores that pour fountain beverages.

The company's shelf presence extends across numerous labels in addition to its core cola, among them Sprite, Fanta, Diet Coke, Simply, Dasani, Powerade, Minute Maid, Costa, fairlife, and innocent. Getting these products to consumers relies on a chain of outside partners rather than direct sales alone, including bottlers, wholesalers, distributors, and retail outlets that handle much of the packaging and delivery work.

The company dates back to 1886 and runs its operations from Atlanta, Georgia. Its stock trades on the NYSE under the ticker KO.

Last earnings call, Jul 28, 2026 AI summary

What they said
Coca-Cola Q2 2026 earnings call: Management (CEO Henrique Braun and CFO John Murphy) reported a strong first half and a strong quarter, with organic revenue growth of ~6%, unit case volume up 5% (2% on a 2-year basis), expanded margins (gross margin up ~120 bps, operating margin up ~90 bps), double-digit EPS growth (Q2 EPS $0.97, +11%), and free cash flow approx. $6.9B. Management attributed growth to portfolio strength, global-local system, revenue growth management (RGM) actions, FIFA World Cup activation (including 25M first-party data points and Panini sticker campaign), favorable weather, and easier comps. They increased 2026 guidance (referred to as "raised 2026 guidance") and emphasized balance between volume and price/mix. They highlighted regional investments (Asia Pacific/India) focused on affordability and premiumization; discussed fairlife recovery and Webster plant ramping; Marriott contract win; and ongoing IRS tax dispute with oral arguments completed and decision timeline uncertain (6-12 months). Management emphasized margin expansion potential driven by asset-light model, currency tailwinds, quality top line, supply chain resilience, and strategic investments (AI/digital for marketing). They plan to continue investing in brands while returning capital. Risks mentioned: uneven consumer environment, inflationary pressures, geopolitical uncertainty, lower-income pressure, and IRS tax dispute (described with potential outcomes disclosed previously).
Guidance
Management stated they are positioned to deliver on their raised 2026 guidance; John Murphy noted benefits below the line reflected in updated guidance and expects to deliver in the second half. No specific numeric new guidance ranges were provided on the call beyond reaffirming/raising 2026 guidance.
Risks flagged
Uneven consumer environment; inflationary pressures and lower-income consumer pressure; geopolitical uncertainty; potential negative outcome from ongoing IRS tax dispute (timeline 6–12 months); mix impacts from regional investments; supply incidents at fairlife (now resolved).
