About Harrow

Harrow operates in eye care, bringing together compounding and outsourcing services for ophthalmology practices under its ImprimisRx business, alongside DEXYCU, a treatment used to address inflammation following eye surgery. These offerings form the core of what the company provides to practitioners and patients in this space.

Beyond its own products, Harrow holds ownership stakes in a handful of pharmaceutical developers. Surface Ophthalmics is working on treatments for conditions affecting the surface of the eye, Melt Pharmaceuticals is pursuing sedation and anesthesia options that do not rely on intravenous delivery for use across hospital, outpatient and office settings, and Eton Pharmaceuticals focuses on bringing drug products to market. Harrow also collects royalties tied to four drug candidates still in development at Surface Ophthalmics and Melt Pharmaceuticals.

The company traces its incorporation back to 2006 and is headquartered in San Diego, California. It operated under the name Imprimis Pharmaceuticals before adopting the Harrow Health name in December 2018. Its shares trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker HROW.

What they said
Harrow reported Q2 2026 results and provided commercial and pipeline updates. Revenue for Q2 was $70.7 million (up 11% YoY, ~60% sequentially), bringing first-half revenue to approximately $115 million. VEVYE drove strong growth with quarterly revenue of $29.4 million (up ~58% YoY). IHEEZO showed record unit demand but reported revenue lagged due to distributor channel inventory; IHEEZO generated $15.6 million primarily from wholesaler stocking of a new 5-pack. The compounded portfolio contributed $14.6 million; specialty portfolio and TRIESENCE ~ $11 million. GAAP gross margin was 71% in Q2, with management expecting gross margins to trend toward the high-70s in H2 due to IHEEZO normalization, VEVYE growth, and improved mix. SG&A was $53.3 million; adjusted EBITDA was negative $1.2 million. Management emphasized that H1 was spent building commercial capacity and that H2 is focused on converting demand into revenue and profitability. Harrow reiterated full-year guidance and reiterated a 2027 exit-rate goal (~$250M) that management believes is achievable with current assets (TYRVAYA is additive). They announced a pending acquisition of TYRVAYA (from Viatris) expected to add experienced dry-eye reps and >$30M revenue contribution when fully integrated, and they assume exclusivity through 2034 for planning. R&D progress: MELT-300 (procedural sedation) has a pre-NDA meeting scheduled early Q4 and NDA targeted H1 2027 with potential approval in H1 2028; MELT-210 (pediatric) is advancing; QUEL (IHEEZO clinical trial) is ongoing with enrollment completing later this year. Management stressed improved pricing actions (VEVYE business rule changes), a PBM top-3 commercial coverage win for VEVYE commercial lives, a sampling program replacing an expensive $0 first-fill model, and inventory normalization for compounded products. Investor Q&A showed management confidence on commercialization, PBM coverage, product synergy (VEVYE + TYRVAYA), and demand trends, while acknowledging remaining integration costs for TYRVAYA, inventory-related revenue timing, and the need to execute commercially to hit H2 targets.
Guidance
Reiterated full-year guidance (no numerical change stated on the call). Specific guidance items mentioned: - Expectation that gross margins will trend toward the high-70s in the second half of 2026. - Base SG&A dollars expected to remain approximately flat with Q2 levels for the balance of the year (excluding additional headcount tied to TYRVAYA transaction). - TYRVAYA (pending close) expected to contribute more than $30 million of revenue (timing dependent on close); company assumes product exclusivity through 2034 for modeling. - Prior guidance: compounded portfolio revenue guide of $60–65 million for the year remains in place (March guidance reiterated). - Company reiterated a previously stated 2027 exit-rate target of ~$250 million (management believes achievable with existing products, TYRVAYA is additive).
Risks flagged
Risks mentioned or implicit on the call include: - H1 revenue was lighter than expected due to VEVYE net revenue impact and distributor channel inventory—timing risk to revenue recognition. - Deal/transaction risk: TYRVAYA close is pending and many comments were hedged because Harrow does not yet own the asset. - Regulatory risk: MELT-300 and other programs require successful FDA interactions/approvals; pre-NDA and NDA timelines could shift. - Market access and reimbursement risk (PBM formulary positioning, prior authorization, co-pay utilization). - Competitive risk (biosimilars and branded competitors in ophthalmology and dry eye markets). - Execution risk: integration costs for acquisitions, ability to convert demand into revenue, and reliance on commercial execution to hit H2 goals. - Macro/third-party data undercounting issues and variability between internal and third-party data sources could obscure performance trends.
