Silvercorp Metals this week drew attention mainly from governance changes rather than operating news. The company filed amended corporate Articles dated October 2, 2026, updating a Form 6-K with the SEC, which also grants the board authority to refuse share transfers without stating a reason and sets new procedures for shareholder meetings and director nominations. Separate commentary pointed to the company's 2026 outlook, noting that strong operational cash flow offsets the net loss reported in fiscal 2026 and citing mechanized mining as a contributor to a lean cost structure. Shares also slid 4.42% on 7 October amid attention to the company's silver exposure, China operations, and recent shareholder meeting outcomes.

The stock closes at $10.30, down 1.8%, sitting between its 50-day average of $11.67 and 200-day average of $11.27, reflecting a mixed trend. The GekkoIndex reads 65.6, placing the stock in the Accumulation zone. Price sits 14.4% below Gekko Fair Value of $12.03.

Seasonality over five years shows a 1.3% average move across this period, with gains in 2 of those years. No insider, Congress, or unusual options activity appears in the respective windows.

What they said
Management presented Silvercorp's Q4 and full fiscal 2026 results, highlighting record Q4 revenue of $147 million (up 96% year-over-year) and strong cash flow: operating cash flow of $90 million and free cash flow of $58 million (up 194% and 308%, respectively). The quarter benefited from a 183% increase in realized silver selling price (about $78/oz), which drove 78% of revenue. Reported unadjusted net income was a small loss (-$0.7 million or -$0.03/sh) driven by a $60 million noncash fair-value charge on derivative liabilities; management removed the cash settlement option on convertible notes to reclassify the conversion feature to equity and eliminate future fair-value volatility. In the brief Q&A, management confirmed no material one-time maintenance items for fiscal Q1, provided timing and capacity guidance for a third mill at Ying (commissioning in Q1 fiscal 2028, total ~6,500 tpd after decommissioning mill #1), and said an updated mine plan/report will detail how new capacity will be allocated and incorporate permit expansions and safety production license validations.
Guidance
Commissioning of mill #3 at Ying expected in Q1 fiscal 2028 (roughly one year from now). Post-commissioning milling capacity expected to be around 6,500 tonnes per day after decommissioning mill #1. Management indicated an updated mine plan/report will be published showing detailed mine plans and how the additional capacity will be used; forecasts will factor in growth from permit expansions and validated safety production licenses. Management also communicated they will report Q1 fiscal 2027 results in early August.
Risks flagged
Management referenced cautionary statements and risk factors in regulatory filings. Specific risks discussed or implied include: exposure to silver price volatility (which materially drove current results), prior derivative liability fair-value volatility (recently addressed but was a reporting risk), dependency on permit expansions and validation of safety production licenses for production ramps, and execution risks associated with commissioning a new mill and decommissioning an older mill.
