About International Seaways

International Seaways moves crude oil and refined petroleum products across the world's oceans, operating a fleet of tanker vessels on behalf of customers who need cargo shipped by sea. The company is best known for running this seaborne transport business at scale, keeping a large number of ships in service to carry these energy products between ports globally.

The business is split into two segments, one focused on crude tankers and the other on product carriers, reflecting the two main types of cargo it moves. Its fleet includes vessels it owns as well as ships it charters in, and it also holds interests in floating storage and offloading vessels. Customers include independent oil companies, state-owned oil enterprises, energy trading firms, refinery operators, and government bodies from various countries.

International Seaways traces its roots to a 1999 incorporation under the name OSG International, Inc., and took on its present name in October 2016. The company is headquartered in New York, New York, and its shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker INSW.
