Ball makes aluminum packaging used across beverages, personal care and household products, with a presence that extends from the United States and Brazil into other international markets. It is widely recognized for producing aluminum beverage cans supplied to makers of soft drinks, beer and energy drinks, alongside items such as aerosol containers, reclosable bottles, cups and slugs.
The company organizes its work into four segments: beverage packaging for North and Central America, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and for South America, plus a separate aerospace unit. The aerospace side builds spacecraft, sensors, instruments and radio frequency systems for civil, commercial and national security customers, and its output ranges from defense hardware and tactical antenna and video systems to satellites, remote sensing tools, ground control equipment and launch integration support. It also produces specialized components like star trackers, cryogenic sensor-cooling systems and fast-steering mirrors for government agencies and their prime contractors.
Ball was established in 1880 and is headquartered in Westminster, Colorado. Its shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker BALL.
