Integer makes devices and components used in medical procedures on behalf of other manufacturers rather than selling under its own brand to patients or hospitals directly. Its work spans areas such as interventional cardiology, structural heart repair, heart failure treatment, neurovascular and peripheral procedures, oncology, electrophysiology, vascular access, infusion, dialysis, urology and gastroenterology. Among its products are pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac leads and monitors, spinal cord stimulators, surgical tools for arthroscopic, laparoscopic and general procedures, orthopedic instruments for hip, knee and spine work, and both rechargeable and non-rechargeable battery systems.
The company runs two main divisions. The Medical segment covers the device and component work described above, while the Non-Medical segment builds tailored battery power and management systems for energy, military and environmental uses. Its customers are largely multinational original equipment manufacturers and their subsidiaries, which rely on Integer to support cardiac, neuromodulation, orthopedic, vascular, surgical and portable medical applications.
Integer was established in 1970 and is based in Plano, Texas, with additional operations in the United States, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and other international locations. Its shares are listed on the NYSE under the ticker ITGR.
